While opening this post, I just had one of those thoughts (so no help required here - but here's some help for others perhaps)...
The problem - I could:
* Find the card - both DVB-T and analogue tuners
* Find all the Freeview NZ channels (with full signal strength and quality)
* Preview and get audio for all channels
* See the channels and what's running in the software client.
But ah! If I reinstall CoreCodec (for the purposes of re-installing* the Haali media splitter), it works well.
This is the opposite of the usual symptoms. When viewing AVCHD video without the Media Splitter, video will show but audio will not play.
* Haali plays really badly with Sony's Picture Motion Browser, so it needs to be uninstalled, until I want to actually use the video for editing.
