I'm using XP SP2 w/ the hotfix for quartz.dll. For all files I try to play I get full audio and no video. When I press ESC the menu for MP shows up in the video thumbnail view, and the rest of the screen stays black until i close the program. I saw the post about using evr instead so I installed .net3 but the same thing happens, only when I press ESC it goes back to the menu like normal, and the video thumbnail stays black, but the audio keeps going.

I've tried a bunch of configurations and I always get the same result. Help?!

Ah-ha. I have a more recent AGP card, but my AGP board died, so I went back to this older PCI card with a new mobo. Guess I'll have to spring for a new PCIe card.

For now I'm using wmp as an external player, with some hot buttons on my remote to full screen and close after the video is done playing. Luckily the rest of the interface for MP works fine.

At least now I know to stop messing around with that old vcard.
