MP: 0.2.2.0
SVN: MediaPortal-svn--03-13-2007--01-03-Rev13369.exe

Hi guys! Just want to start with what a fantastic program MP is! Not using any TV yet, just replacing XLobby with this very easily working situation, awesome! Anyway, problem is pc was configured with ZP prior to loading MP. When launching a video from MP in fullscreen, I get no video in Zoom, but if I Alt+Enter in MP, I get video without restarting it. Zoom is configured for CoreAVC and uses Nero filters to get good ts deinterlacing. In the previous SVN I noticed that MP showed tearing of it's screen when ZP wasn't working and a black screen when it was, if that makes sense - i.e. if I windowed ZP then MP was tearing the screen in the background whereas if I ran MP in a window and ZP was working then just a black screen in MP. Seems like MP has the renderer or overlay locked out when it runs full screen, maybe only in the presence of certain filters on the system. My laptop is not having this issue so don't know.

Don't have time to update HW spec just now, pc is an intel media motherboard with core 2 duo and a gig of ram.

So in the files here I:
1. ran mp fullscreen.
2. clicked movies.
3. picked a movie.
4. get no video in zoom player.
5. close zoom.
6. alt + enter.
7. play movie.
8. video works in zoom.

I hope that's enough info, let me know if not I'll be more thorough. Again, thanks a million for the working software, how cool after the XL experience!

Vince

Try disabling DirectX Exclusive Mode in MP's general options in configuration.exe.

Ok, I see the option configuration.exe | directshow filter control | use vmr9 exclusive mode

I unchecked that with no change. I don't see any option like this under general, am I missing it?

Thanks!

Figured it out, kept bugging me that it only happened on this one pc, it's a mb I really like, an intel dg965ot , anyway updated bios and video driver and all is good. Now I can get on to the real software lovin'

You guys rock! Makes me want to learn to code c++, maybe it's time to get back into it. Will donate as soon as wife can use it!!!

Ok, will donate anyway, but really it is useable by her, and absolutely rocks. All the little piddly things I have not liked in other sw are not an issue, for instance why is it so hard just to get a cd to play when you stick it in? You guys get it. THANKS!
