I've just installed Portal 2 (never having used, nor installed Portal 1 before). I ran the TV setup, It found the channels I normally get, But when I go to TV in Portal 2, all I get is a blank screen. (on some channels I do get audio), I can pull up the channel guide, albeit unpopulated I'm guessing I'm missing some sort of decoder. Help please. I've attached my logs.

Try uninstalling LAV manually from windows and then reinstalling MP2 again.

Thanks. I've looked in my x86 directory and found a LAV directory containing a few DLLS, but no uninstall,.
There is nothing in Add/Remove programs either. So that leaves a few questions. 1) How do I remove it, 2) what else will it affect? ( I currently run Arcsoft Total Media, but am not happy with it, hence the installation of Media Portal). 3} Should I uninstall Media Portal 2, prior to the reinstall?

Probably there is a conflict with other LAV versions. You may uninstall MP2 once and afterwards remove (backup) all settings in “/Program Data/Team MediaPortal/“. E.g. moving them to desktop.
Then try reinstalling MP2.
