All videos I try to play do nothing. MP will freeze for a second or too and then stay at the menu when I choose a video using the internal player. I've tried going around this issue by using external players, but My MPlayer looks like crap and the VLC plugin is glitchy, so I would like to see if I can get this resolved. Here's my error.log:
Code:
2008-05-31 13:06:59.171875 [ERROR][MPMain]: VideoPlayer9:exception while creating DShow graph Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {51B4ABF3-748F-4E3B-A276-C828330E926A} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040273. at MediaPortal.Player.VMR9Util.AddVMR9(IGraphBuilder graphBuilder)

2008-05-31 13:07:00.234375 [ERROR][MPMain]: PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - F:\star_trek_voyager.4x23.living_witness.ac3.dvdrip.xvid-youngdangerous.avi - skipping track!

I'm using MP 0.2.3.0 because 1.0 RC1 crashes on start up for me, and I'm also using XP Pro.

    You really should:
    - Try getting RC1 working (Try updating to latest SVN)
    - Attaching all logs

I had the same problem and solved it by installing a "Visual C++ Redistributable Pack".
    Perhaps that helps you!

    greets, Rob
