I have MP 1 RC1 and it's going pretty well - a couple of issues to be resolved and I'm actively searching the various info sources for help.
The biggest current problem I'm having is that not all of the keys on my remote work. I've got a Firefly R1000 which is one of the X10 remotes listed in the MediaPortal Configuration | Remote | X10 tab page.
All the mappings look sensible, and most of the keys work, but the CH-UP and CH-DN keys and all of the numerical keys don't seem to do anything while watching TV in fullscreen.
I'm guessing I'm missing something fundamental here ... any tips?
Ah!
The mappings of CH-UP and CH-DN were right, but SKIP-UP and SKIP-DN are (by default) set to the same X10 keys! (CH/SKIP-UP = 41, CH/SKIP-DN = 48).
By mapping SKIP-UP and SKIP-DN to "Next Channel" and "Prev Channel" (instead of Next/Prev Item) I can change channels.
Now, I'm thinking this "work around" isn't the best way to proceed. At a minimum I should set a condition so that Next/Prev Item still works elsewhere ... but is there another way I should set up the key assignment (name to X10 key number) or mapping (name to function)?
