on some tv channels (ie the german pro7) has a really low volume for the movies and a high one for the advertisements.
so you hvae to turn the volume up to the highest to understand something in the movie and then when the ads will begin, you will get blasted out of your chair.

so my idea is to have the low volumes turned up and the high volumes turned down automatically.

MPA is having a 'normalize' checkbox.

But I think that 'only' normalizes different levels between the channels. I am using it in oder to equilibrate the different sound levels between my STB and the inbuild TV card. (I ike that feature very much by the way!)

But that's only my guess. Maybe a dev can clear that?

    thanks+regards

MPA is the former MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM codec. They renamed it some weeks ago. Also with the old name it has the 'normalize' checkbox.

(Same for the nowadays MPV which was the old mpeg2dec-blabla).

    thanks+regards

    Hi,
Maybe you didn't install the MPV/MPA when installing MediaPortal, there was an option under the installation. If you have, just run the start.bat after applying a SVN version, this should re-register the codec's.
