Not blasting from within MP (2 Viewers)

I have been through the threads here and find that many people have the same problem as this. I have this problem every time I re-install MP, just upgraded to the latest release and now cannot figure out how I patched it to work last time. Can't understand my own post on it :-(

All setup and blaster works fine within the config program, changes channels Ok. Channels mapped properly to use SVHS and external channel numbers. Channels will not change within MP, logs an error about the instance not being set in the log files.

If anyone can help with this it would be appreciated. The WAF has dropped through the floor as it was working before I "upgraded" it.

What version of IRServerSuite? Reason I ask is because there was a problem with blasting in version 1.0.4.1. A fix/patch for that was issued around 20080113.

I am using the test version released about August in the forum. I actually have it working now, but no idea how. I did the same thing I have done 20 times and this time it worked. I backed slowly away from the computer and am will to accept a win even though I have no idea why. From memory this is exactly what happened last time I installed.

I remember that I had exact same issue. I believe that all I needed was a restart. This goes for everything that happens: removing/refitting IR-blasters ---> reboot!

I guess that could be all it was, nothing else made sense. The last thing I did was remove all the IR software, re-install the default MS MCE drivers. Rebooted and keybaord worked. I then installed the IR suite, checked all config settings in MP and rebooted in frustration when it still didn't work. Was about to give up when after the reboot it just started working. Had rebooted many times before, must have just been the right combination.
