I have a shuttle with optical out and I'm using a fiber cable from it to my Sony receiver. I used the same setup from my old DVD player and Satellite receiver and when 5.1 content was ran, the LED on the front of my Sony would populate all 5.1 boxes to show that I was getting surround sound. My Sony will decode DTS, Dolby, etc. I was using the MPA Decoder then installed and tried AC3Filter but both give me the same results. I'm certain that my rips are good and I've selected the 5.1 sound settings in the DVD menu, etc. It has to be something in Windows XP or MP that I don't have configured correctly. I get sound from my center channel speaker and two front speakers (they are also populated and lit on the LED on the front of my receiver but the rear speakers are NOT). I'm running XP Pro SP3 with MP 1.0 and the imbedded digital audio is RealTek HD. I've done a bit of reading but can't seem to find the answer to my problem. I'm certain my receiver is working as it was working with my DVD player just a few weeks ago. It has to be a setup issue on my part. Thank you for any help you can provide or a link to a possible solution. Cheers, moonracer
