I'm using the preview version 1.4.2 to drive a Microsoft MCE remote via the OEM iMON receiver in my Antec Fusion v2 case.

I have the big green button set to launch MediaPortal via TrayLauncher and this works when the HTPC is first booted. However, after I run MediaPortal and then exit - the IRSS stops receiving remote commands (verified via Debug Tool). The only way to get the receiver working again (and therefore the Green button to open MediaPortal once again) is to restart the IR service.

I've attached the logs from the IR Server in the hope that somebody could help me.

Any help gratefully received, as ever! Big thanks to and-81 and cybr who've put such great effort in produced a wonderful plugin. :D

I recently upgraded my HTPC. I want to point out that I still have the same Vista installation, same MP and IR server installed as before, only thing that has changed on upgrade are mobo integrated drivers for Vista.

After upgrade I'm getting the same thing: no more IR server response after once shutting down MediaPortal. On previous mobo the exact same vista installation worked just fine after MediaPortal was closed.

I haven't yet tried reinstalling IR server or MP but I'll try it later. Anyways I'm going to do clean install of Vista next week so I'll keep you guys posted if either of those have cured my setup.

Using 1.0.4.2 RC1 with MP plugin update.

Well.. actually installing newer MP RC1 SVN solved IR Server not responding after MP shutdown.

But I still had an another new issue (had this combined with topics's issue before): Whole MCE USB-transceiver stopped responsing after IR server beeing active for few hours. Only way to revive it was to unplug and plug transceiver (that black box where you also plug blasters onto) + restart IR Service. Only restarting IR Service didn't do any good.

Now I've formatted my HDD and installed clean Vista SP1 32-bit again. Newest MP RC1 SVN + IR Server 1.0.4.2 RC1 with MP plugin update and I still get this issue. I want to point out that same config on my previous HTPC worked just fine (regarding IR Server and transceiver staying up and working) on the previous Vista install.

Ive had the same issue, a dirty workaround is to restart the service after standby.

Create a .bat-file somewhere on your HDD:

    Code:
    net stop "Input Service"
    [USER=42607]ping[/USER] 127.0.0.1 -n 3 -w 1000 > nul
    net start "Input Service"

activate powersheduler-plugin for tve3 and add the file to be executed after standby. This stops the service, waits 3 secs und then restarts it.

It can also be used with Hibernate Trigger

I've created similar script before but my problem isn't standby or hib. I haven't used either and same vista installation worked just fine with previous HW. With new mobo it doesn't. What currently happens is that whole USB-device stops working after a while, if I send IR from remote to transceiver it doesn't light red led at all. Only way to get it back in business is to unplug it and plug it back, and then restart ir service (used script there).

I currently have no time to deal with this so I've been forced to uninstall IR Service. I'm currently using regular MCE remote drivers (disabled MCE services) and MPTrayMod. I really miss IR Service's translator =/, just on MP side I can't tell any difference.
