    Hi,
I am currently using a Hauppuage NovaT-500 twin tuner for freeview etc and also a Hauppuage S2 satellite card with there USB cam.
    The satellite card is hooked upto a dish with 4 LNB's and a 4way diseque switch. The LNB's are pointing at 28deg (Astra2) 19deg(Astra1) 16deg(Eutelsat) 13(Hotbird).
My system currently runs under windows Vista x64 and was working until buggs apeared and i cant switch satelites in MP anymore.
It is in the bugtracker but doesnt appear to have changed for some time. I used to use my cam with cards for Aljazeera or Setanta (although they went bust) and they did work fine for a while back in MP around a year or so ago.
I hope to switch my system to Windows 7 this weekend, been waiting on MP's recent release. Will report back

    ***Update***

I backed everything up and installed Windows7 x 64 (Ultimate).
I let windows do all its updates and put in the latest drivers for both the NovaT500 and S2 from hauppuages own site (drivers only).
I also put in all the latest nvidia drivers etc. Installed the new release of media portal and proceeded to setup TV server.
All channels to Digital scanned fine on both Tuners on the NovaT-500, I was also VERY supprised that the S2 scanned all channels on all 4 Transponders for my 4 LNB's (13,16,19 & 28deg).
Setup the cam module to the S2 and it appears to be working although my card is now out of date :( )
I am looking at an ESPN sub or one to Aljazeera for there sport for 12 mths.
I will get that sorted this week and report back. Looking forward to having this all working again :)

    ***Update***

After playing around for a while I could tune to different stations on all four satellites. I had a good look at my Al Jazeera card and cam and they still have around 5mths to run. SO i should be able to tune the scrambled channels for Al Jazeera BUT they have changed some things and now have new channels (HD etc). I need to do some more delving to find out if the CI module is actually working or not. Dont think i have actually installed the drivers for the CI, I only installed drivers for the NovaT-500 & S2, but will do some more digging and report back as soon as i can.

    ***Update***

Well I installed the Cam driver and still get no option in TV server con fig for the cam at all. I can tune all the free channels on all the four satellites so that is a start. I then decided to install winTV HD to test the cards and cam in there. Last time i used WinTV in Vista i could use the cam. Installed it all and BOOOOOOm couldn't tuna a thing. MP went haywire and it just kept on saying unable to start graph. Did a bit of digging and eventually decided it would be quicker to reinstall windows7 and MP and start again.
I now have everything back up but when i select the S2 Hauppauge card in TVserver config i get the LNB's and have scanned all chanels. When i go to the cam tab it is empty. I get a warning saying that the cam may not be ready or not installed ???
I am at a loss now as I REALLY dont want to install WinTV again to loose everything!!
I will create a snapshot with Acronis true image and then roll my system back to a clean install with all drivers installed and try WinTV again. If i can get winTV working with the Cam then it looks like MP is not working with the cam for me :(

    regards

    Kev

    Hi,

I am using FloppyDTV-C (cable) from Digital Everywhere, bought on ebay while one could still find some. Works great under Windows 7 and was a breeze to setup in MP (compared to Media Center 7).

Now I pray everyday that my floppydtv won't break, as I really don't know what other cable card I could use instead. (advices are welcome !)

    Cheers
