    Hi pauln

Screenshot seems to have been taken with LogMeIn - is that correct? Have you double checked that the same symptoms apply when viewing the physical screen?
I'd suspect the video card personally...

no logmein is running as its a small TV.
It hurts my eyes looking at the screen.
Media Portal is not visable over logmein so screen is from the PC

Forgot to add this is only on the composite a normal VGA monitor works

    Okay.

Once again, to me this would be indicative of video card driver or video card configuration issue (refresh rate etc.). I'm not aware of anything in MP itself that would behave differently on VGA vs. composite.

Have tried different drivers and refresh rates no change.
Have noticed it will not play a AVI file (xivd) the screen goes green and the sound stutters.
    WMP plays the file fine.
Before I give up have you got any ideas ?

Looks like the problem is on the composite side of the card as already stated, if older drivers (I mean drivers pre 186.14 and I am being generous here) do not fix this, then it is totally hardware output, which cannot be fixed in any way pc end, possibly tv may have a setting for improvement, but not to MP's playback characteristics.

Paul, when you say WMP plays the file fine, do you mean it plays fine *over composite*?

Yes the AVI files play fine with WMP11 over comosite.
The only other problem I can find over composite is the Nvidia driver crashes at the
"Adjust image settings with preview" screen so maybe a Direct3D or OpenGL problem over composite.
I cant try another card as its slim PC and any other AGP cards I still have are full hieght.
