Hi. I've discovered MediaPortal recently and I'm quite pleased with what I see. I have two issues.

1) OGG files are playable (I've installed the OGG DirectShow codec), but they show up as "Unknown -" every time. I've tried deleting the database and building it again with ID3 enabled and DirectShow instead of WMP9, no success.

2) My TV tuner doesn't show up; though, it's not listed as supported, and it's an ancient piece of hardware. I'd like to use it for timeshifting, but it's not really a priority. I'm using BTWINCAP drivers (http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/) since Leadtek doesn't provide drivers for windows XP. It also works with DScaler internal drivers. It would be nice to get it to work.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

re 1: The Ogg tags are not read correctly by the Tag Reader, which is included in 2.0.4.
In the nightly SVN-builds we have a new tag reader, which handles ogg files correctly.

please ask in the tv forum but I think you'll just get a recommendation to use a hardware encoding card since timeshifting per software needs more then 2,8 Ghz of cpu power..
