Yes, it is in the documentation. The trouble was that the link above was for MediaPortal and the built-in TV client. You are using TV Server, so you need the TV Server documentation.

TV-Server - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

Section 3-D in the link takes you to the post-installation configuration, including the login screen you had before.

The error you are getting is the DVBFix listed in the requirements page. I'll agree with you that the message isn't terribly useful, if it doesn't actually say DVBFix. See [Patch] Multi DVB Tuner Issue and channel-scan crash - Windows XP - MediaPortal Forum for the latest version of this hotfix. (The first post has the direction and the file to download.)

Have you installed all of the updates and hotfixes on that page?
The Psisdecd.dll is in the BDA/DVB hotfix.

The only thing I have missing is the BDA/DVB hotfix.

The message I quoted earlier had a box title ...

Code:
Microsoft SI/PSI parser outdated!

So naturally I looked for a mention of "Microsoft SI/PSI parser" on the page I was redirected to. I can see now that, "Psisdecd.dll" is under an apparently completely different heading, "BDA/DVB hotfix."

Thanks Juppe - I may be now getting somewhere. Right now it's time for bed!

I'm not sure if its in the documentation.

    Disappointing! :(

Can someone please point me to the appropriate place in the documentation?

I don't think the defult password is mentioned in the documentation, but when you are installing it, there is a place where you are prompted for a password and if you enter nothing, then you are given a message that says what the default password is, along with a message that says something like "Make sure to write this down, you'll need it later"

The psisdecd does cause confusion. Maybe that should label should also be added to the heading. But still, it does say that you'll need all those updates for a good result.
