I don't see how this is possible. I have one of the original ATI TV Wonder PCI cards. BT878 chipset (as per Everest). When I go into media center, and run the wizard for TV, it sees it. Now, when I go into the configuration for media portal, and try and choose a capture card, it doesn't find it. I've done a search on the forums for TV wonder, etc, but I can't seem to find any data.

Should I really have to do something special to get this card working, or is it so old that there's just no support anymore?

I am trying to use MediaPortal with my ATI TV Wonder VE as well. The model is listed in the XML file and I have read that the older version of MediaPortal -pre 0.2.0.0 release detected this card but I can't find these releases to test. I also understand that a few others have the same issue with this card, but I haven't found a clear solution in the forums. I've pasted my log file below.

I believe that you have a software encoding card. These have only limited support in MediaPortal. Long time ago I had a SW-based card myself, and my best advice is to get a new card (like PVR-150).

You could read :::HERE::: but I am not sure if this still is valid....
