OLD BT878 chipset analog card (1 Viewer)

I found an old analog BT878 chipset tv card laying around while I am waiting for my real tv card to arrive.

I managed to find some drivers for it, and I can tune the basic channels that it can pick up by using the MPsetup and I can even set the EPG to the channels for my area.

BUT if I so much as enter the My TV section in MP then MP will display the tv in the small window with no sound (i think I have not set that up right yet) but then I loose all control of MP and I have to ctrl-alt-del to close it down.

I checked that the BT878 chipset is supported and unless I am imagining things it is. But I still cannot get it to work.

I have tried two sets of drivers both of which were different versions. I also found with this card another one with a different BT chipset (I think its an older card) but I think that one is broken as I cannot even tune any channels.

Any ideas/pointers I really wanted to play around with MP so it was all set or I knew how to set it up for when the new card arrives.

PC specs are quite basic,

AMD 64 3200+
512 MB of ram at the moment I will be upgrading this later
120 GB HD
Ati X1600 Pro for tv out (which btw does anyone know how to get to display properly at pal res? it goes all jumpy on my tv so I have to use almost double that res to get it to work)

Fixed the tv playback issue and with it fixed the full screen issue as well. BUT the tv card has a 2nd device which is the audio device but I cannot get MP to recognise the device and allow me to have the audio for the tv broadcast. DVD works fine though.

The card does not have a passthrough for the audio so I cannot select an input from the soundcard to get the audio to play.
