I have setup some emulators and saved the setup in configuration. Looks like it's not writing the database file correctly for some reason (I've no idea).

This is really wierd, if it can't write to the db-file it should complain about that. But it saves your options, but not the emulator info. When you enter setup again, I presume the saved emulators are gone?

Nope - all the emulator info (name, path etc) is in the setup when I enter in to it - just not found when I access it through the MP interface.

Then perhaps you have two databases - one that the setup manages, and one that MP opens (which is empty). Try searching your harddrive for myEmulators.db3. How many files do you find?

The emulator launcher works great, but I too run into the same problems as others, quitting the emulator sometimes hangs MP.

I solved the ALT-F4 problem by mapping two buttons on my game controller to ALT and F4 and when I press both it quits. Ofcourse I use a combination that is not used in games.

Great job though, this feels really awesome to play those games again!

Hi.
I am a new user of MediaPortal. I use it with the mp-start luncher to use it in fullscreen on my second monitor (TV).

I have try this plugin, with project64 and VisualBoy, but they are lunched in the primary monitor (PC) and no on the TV like MediaPortal.

It's possible to lunch them like MediaPortal and mp_start ?

thx

EDIT: I have found a solution about it. I will make a mediabox with an old PC i have.
But i have an other question, The "view" button (list, icon, ect...) is in english, how can i translate it ? I have found how to for others
Thx.

    Hey Chreekar,

have you thought about making the plugin easy translatable? Like having an extra file with the needed strings under ./Language. This would be really nice... and a "fix" for the hard-coded "view", too. :)

    Best regards
    G.B.

I've added support for translation strings in the newest SVN version, which can be found here:

    Code:
    https://mp-plugins.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mp-plugins/trunk/plugins/MyEmulators

Readme.txt has instructions on how to use it. Please let me know what you think of this solution :)

    Woah... that was fast. :)

Do you have a precompiled dll (against SVN), too? I hadn't the time yet to set the stuff up to compile MP myself.

    best regards

Yeah, after a couple of months without even looking at the code I've finally taken some time to sit down and program :) This dll should be the most recent one.
