hey Chreekar, just wanted to make sure you saw my last two posts. for some reason the last one flagged the spam trigger so it showed up like a week later.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away in Austria and watching soccer. A huge thanks for the ideas!! I am admired of the FAQ you did and the time spent on thinking about improvement.
very much! I agree with you on almost every aspect, but the main thing for this plugin is the ease of use and I cannot sacrifice that for more user freedom, and I don't want to just add functionality and eventually create a copy of My Programs. With that said, I am very exited of expanding the functionality and user freedom and fix the bugs but still try to make it as simple to use as today. To do that, I think I will have to rewrite the code and start working on a version 2.0 some time in the future. Hopefully, you will see some info about that later this year
I would like to say that I TOTALLY agree with that.
I use My emulators for all my emulated games, but use MY programs to launch PC games etc.
That way I keep them separate and can have nice features for each, with all the thumbnails etc.
Fantastic job on MY emulators and I prefer the look of it, so a BIG

Hi,
some help needed here!
1> I've installed ZSNES; when I run a game; the screen gets BLACK, sound is working, but I have no image. Have to use ALT + F4. What's that?
2> I've put a SNES.jpg inside c:\program files\team mediaportal\Mediaportal\Thumbs\Myemulators\emulators
Still no image is show inside Media Portal...
Is it possible to put the thumbs somewhere else?
3> How can I close the emulator with the remote and go back to MP ?

Update
The latest progress I've made is to include (a modified version of) the FAQ by gamingexpert in the distribution package and to make the file filter case-insensitive. This will be uploaded to the SVN tomorrow. Additionaly, the work towards a major release is nearly complete, so in a couple of weeks you'll hopefully see it through MPI.

"No Signal" on my LCD-TV

i think my problem is not related to MyEmulators but to my LCD-TV
I installed MyEmulators with Mame32 and some retro games.
My LCD-TV (Samsung LE32-M) switches to "No Signal" when a game starts but with an open VNC connection i can see that the game is running.
In the monitor manual i read that the Samsung LCD requires to have at minimum resolution of 800x600 running on 60 Hz on the monitor port, so i changed the values in the game preferences of Mame32 and enabled also Direct-X but with no effect. Still everytime "No Signal". If i leave the game, MP screen comes back on TV.
Any idea how to solve this ?

try using mame on its own, not through MyEmulators. it could just be an incorrect setting in MyEmulators (i think many ppl have difficulty setting mame up with it). if it still doesnt work, try some different resolutions. check the resolution and refresh rate that you normally use that work and set it to that in Mame (i've never used mame tho so idk if it supports changing the refresh rate). also try it in a window instead of fullscreen. also try other video plugins (if mame supports them), and other games. you could also try reinstalling mame or getting a different version.
i bet one of these will do it, if not then maybe its more complicated than i thought.
