I installed OnlineVideo under MP1.3.
There are some errors here.
For example:
Das Erste Livestreams - Fehler beim abrufen dieser Rubrik
Das Erste - Sendung verpasst - Fehler beim abrufen der dynamischen Rubriken
Das Erste - Sendung a-z - Fehler beim abrufen der dynamischen Rubriken

Das Zweite - Live TV - Fehler beim Starten des Abspioelers unbekannter Fehler
Das Zweite - alle anderen funktionieren
BR - leeres Verzeichnis
MDR,NDR,WDR - Fehler beim abrufen der dynamischen Rubriken

Since I haven't read anything about such a problem here, I'm wondering if it could be due to settings. If yes, which.

You need to remove "Das Erste", which no longer works, from your sites and instead select the "ARD Mediatek" which has everything that used to be in Das Erste plus some. ZDF live and catchup is working for me from the ZDF Mediatek as are other ZDF based live programs.
BR,MDR,WDR are also broken by me but are available live from the ARD Mediatek

No, you need to open Online Videos in MP1 and on the first page navigate left to show the menu then select "Sites verwalten", see screenshot 1 below, scroll down the list till you find "Das Erste" select it and then select "Aus mein sites entfernen" see screenshot 2, then find ARD mediathek in the list, select it and select "Zu meinen Sites hinzufügen". You should then see the ARD mediathek in the list of German sites on the first page where you can add it to your favourites if you want and "Das Erste" should be gone.
Hope that helps but no quarentee you will get audio on some of theARD live streams, see my recent earlier post.

With all live streams I get the message 'Cannot play: OnlineVideo'.
When sendung a-z selection A I get the error timeout.
The Arte media library Arte+7 doesn't work at all.
With Amazon Prime for every selection - errors in the dynamic sections.

As it stands, the majority of the choices offered do not work. Is this just my problem, or are there other users who have had similar experiences with OnlineVideo?

Are you able to play any live streams, e.g. from the ZDF mediathek or anything at all from Online Videos?
If not please make sure you have installed the MPURLSourceSplitter it should have been included with the OV install see screenshot below.
ARTE +7 has been reported as faulty since 2018 much the same with many other providers, unfortunately if they change the website it requires Online Videos to be updated but if the original developer is no longer around then you end up with a lot of dead wood.
Not sure about Amazon Prime, maybe someone else can comment but I can assure you ARD mediathek is working for me bar audio issues with live streams.

ZDF media library does not work either - unknown error.
The MPURLSourceSplitter is installed.

Sorry to have to ask this but do you have a tv tuner installed and can you play TV? If not can you playback videos stored on the system through Media Portal.
I am no expert on logs but yours seem to have more errors than usual.
Expert help needed please I'm running out of ideas.

Live TV via my SatIP server works without any problems. Videos via network or locally are also not a problem. MP1.3 overall runs stably. So I'm sure there is a problem in OnlineVideo.
Perhaps an expert can be found who can read the LOG files.

Judging from the logs it seems that the site is indeed broken
perhaps a job for @SilentBob?
