This might be an OnlineVideos bug but I'm posting it here as well just in case it also shows an issue with MP itself.

If I try and play a video that OV can't find (as appears to be the case with Episode 9 of The Killing on iPlayer at the moment), OV gets stuck showing the progress bar for ages and I am unable to Stop it or go up a level in OV, although MP is still responsive and I can go to TV Guide. However, trying to play LiveTV whilst OV is locked like this gives an error about being unable to play the timeshift file, as shown in the error.log.

    Hi doveman

    The issue is here:

    2011-09-04 19:20:53.105996 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: VMR9: ctor() VMR9 already active
    ...
    2011-09-04 19:20:53.744032 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: TSReaderPlayer: Failed vmr9 not connected

    MP can't use the renderer (VMR9) while OnlineVideos is using it... although it does seem a little strange that MP is trying to use VMR when it should be using EVR. I think it is just the logging...

    Shouldn't this issue be better reported in the OnlineVideos forum since it only happens with that plugin?
    If something in MP's code causes this, then I am sure that offbyone will tell us. :)

    Well I did say in my post I was posting in the MP1.2RC thread AS WELL, in case there was an underlying bug in MP. I couldn't really say if this only happens with OV, as I don't use any other streaming video plugins.

    Mind you, you've done me a favour moving this thread as you've made me realise there's an OV subforum and not just a single OV thread :)
