I want to mount my TV (55") to the wall and I'm wondering which wall mount I should get. At first I had my eyes on this one: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003UVCKR2
It has a wall distance of 6,5 cm, but as Philips recommends a distance of 10 to 20 cm for their Ambilight TVs, this might be to small.
This one should be a better option (distance 11,7 - 55,3 cm): http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B002MMH1II

Any thoughts?

6,5cm is very tight indeed, without extending that with a VESA mount you can play with the led arc like 50-70 degrees if they are placed more inwards or make aim them straight to the wall if they are close to the edge.
Philips makes them diffuse so you already lose precision (more light blobs / overlap) with their setup so the 10-20cm advise might be incorrect for DIY setups :)

    Hi,
I have a ~4 cm wallmount and used some diffuser foil (a simple dull sheet protector). I'm quite satisfied with the result, but it's a matter of taste...
