Jimbawb thank you for this awesome plugin! I have been skinning aMPed for 4:3 screens and wanting to enable fullscreen video backgrounds since there is so little room for videooverlays. This does the trick! My only problem is that when I add a button to toggle background off, or use a key on my remote, the background returns to the videooverlay position, not the current videowindow defined in an xml. I think it should function the way FullScreen Video does - when turned off, fullscreen video returns the videooverlay to the currently defined videowindow, not the position defined in videooverlay.xml. That means, if allowoverlay is off, fullscreen video does not display. Not true with the background video toggle (action 101)

For example, if I turn off the background video in weather it shows a video overlay even though the xml has allowoverlay no.

I hope this is clear. If not, try it in Blue3(or wide) and turn off your background in MyWeather. You get an overlay when you shouldn't

This also means that any xml that has defined a separate videopreview window becomes irrelevant since the videooverlay.xml takes precedence.

Oops, sorry about that Jimbawb - I see now it was leo212 listed as author in the repository. I guess I should wake up first before posting LOL!

Have you ever run into the problem I posted?

Hmm...afraid not. I'm not a skinner - I just install the plugin! If I stop background video by pressing stop, it just returns to whatever background image is supposed to be there...this is on B&W...maybe looking at that skins details might help.
