Right now, there is some confusion between the settings you can change from within MP, and the ones you have to change in the seperate utility
My suggestion would be to be able to change all settings within mediaportal. If it needs to be restarted to change these settings there should be a simple popup when saving the settings, saying that a restart is required to make the changes take effect.
