I have recently installed MediaPortal and it is a perfect fit for what I need. TV preview works fine. However, when I record the TV video and audion are out of sync and the screen flashes every 5 seconds or so. Furthermore, my reording audio and video are also out of sync. I don't believe it is cpu problem as MediaPortal never gets higher than abou 30% usage. It is usually much lower. I am using a card that does not have hardware encoding, It is a Sabrent TV USB BOX 2.0. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the settings of the refresh rate of your graphic card are to low.
Set the refresh rate for your screen for example from 24 khz to 50 khz.
Hope this helps.

Refresh rate

I played around with various refersh rates and at 70 hertz it works almost fine. I still get the occassional 1/2 second freeze. Also, when I manually record, timeshift is activated even though I have it set to manual.

jimmya, to fix problem with audio out of sync, check that ur audio renderer setting is default (or test with other)!

    This might help.
