Hi mike2000,
Some questions;
1. Have you enabled the MP plugin "MusicDB Reoganisation"?
2. Have you enabled "Enable automatic update of these databases - Music" in Latest Media Handler?
3. What is the refresh interval set to in Latest Media Handler?
4. Are you using MPs TV part or are you using 4TheRecord?

I have the same problem as mike2000. The Recorded TV overlay in StreamedMP does not update unless MediaPortal is restarted. The thumbnailer also only works about 25% of the time. The Moving Pictures and TV Series overlays work fine. Can't speak for the music since I don't use MP for it.
This problem started when I upgraded to 1.2 beta. (running 1.2.1 now)

Did the interval change solve the music problem? Do you now get newly added music albums without having to restart MP?

The update of latest recorded tv progams is a bug due to MP1.2 working differently than previous version. I have a fix ready for this and will include it in next version of this plugin. Will be released soon. About the generation of thumbs, this is handled by MP and I'm afraid it it nothing that I can fix.

I can confirm the strange behaviour of latest music and did some testing.
I added two new albums today which got their own folder each.
Then I did a scan in MP Config in the music database where only the two folders (of the new albums) where ticked. After this successful database updated I unticked the folders again in the tab "scan music folders".
I started MediaPortal to see if the LMH does update latest music. But it doesnt at all. Still the same albums where shown. The latest two albums weren't recognized. After a complete reboot still the same.
Then I ticked the two albums again in "scan music folders" and did again a database update. This time I didn't untick the two scan folders! Then I started MediaPortal and now I can see this two albums I recently added. But only these two! The others form earlier scans where gone.
Hope you do understand what I mean and can reproduce the behaviour. =)

Hi cul8er,
Strange, I was adding yesterday some new music - however in the usual update run this night it was not captured (not in the DB
).
I did a fresh scan of the DB today, added some music afterwards. update run will be tonight - I will let you know.
Guess this goes a little bit in the direction of what Holzi described below.

Thanks for your reply.
There is two things that refresh the database.
1. The MP plugin "MusicDB Reoganisation" updates according to the time/schedule you set in that plugin
2. The LatestMediaHandler plugin updates according to the interval you set in that plugin
So if you set a short interval in LatestMediaHandler the update will occur before the time you have set in MusicDB Reoganisation.
