Hi,

I wondering if I missed a setting to activate the "overscan" when MP is in full screen and when I exit the full screen mode the overscan is switched off... Like Media Center used to do.

I managed to adjust the size of the screen in the driver of the video card so I doesn't see black line around the image, but it's really anoying when I'm not in MP and I'm using the PC for maintenance directly on the TV, no I doesn't have a monitor on my HTPC and don't want to, for now at least...

Yea, I do it alike. I have attached only TV to HTPC (ATI X200 onboard GPU). I have selected overscan in the Catalyst driver, so overscanned is MP itself (no problem), full-screen video (this is the goal), and Windows too (unpractical  ). Fortunately I can work with HTPC Windows via my home product PC (through VNC) connected on same home router.
The idea "MP switch overscan" is very useable I think.

Maybe the plugin I have developed can help you to work around that problem. It allows you to define a rule that automatically overscan's if the video or tv broadcast fits the conditions you have given (video width, height and aspect ratio).
Take a look in my signature to find it!

    Bye

This could work, but I want all the MP to be overscanned, the menu and everything, not only the video I'm playing...
