Password Protect TV Server? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if it is possible to password protect TV Server.

I want have my TV Server only accessible by me and two friends who both live in the area.

I don't want everyone on the Internet able to start messing with my TV server, though it looks like I would have to if I forward the ports out on my router.
