MCE remote subtitles assigned to ACTION_NEXT_SUBTITLE. If subtitles are OFF by default, just use this button to turn them on.
Which is the yellow by default?

SVN 15080, finally get it working for srt subtitles. Not sure about you, but when I went to the configuration of the keys, I couldn't find anywhere ACTION_NEXT_SUBTITLE, so I had to add it manually. Dunno if I should do that.

Still problem with charset. I have selected by default "Script as Cetral European" in vobsub, in MP only option is "western". When playing movie "Western" takes an effect. No way to select "Central European", neither any other in MP configuration.

Is there any particular reason why *.txt subtitles are not recognized? Those are subtitles that do not show up.

This is fine, for keyboard configuration (you asked about MCE Remote before).

As I said language option is not used as font charset. Charset can only be defined in Vobsub. MP overwrites Vobsub settings, but not the charset. Still looks like charset is replaced with the default charset in this case. Well another reason to remove MP subtitle config :)

MP is not looking for subtitles, vobsub does.

Well.. I converted all my txt subs to srt..
So far I am very happy with the whole thing, except the charset.
Default charset is a definite "no-go" for me, and probly lots of users.

    Hi maysider,
if you don't know how to compile mediaportal, look at this thread. I posted a binary patch there that should work with 0.2.3.0 RC1.

CPP does this mean that i dont need the file: mp_subtitles2.zip?
Should i just download the core.zip and replace core.dll in MP?

The patch already in SVN, download latest SVN build.

I think the default charset depends on what you selected in control panel -> regional options -> advanced -> language for non-unicode programs, so that if you select your language the default charset will support it.

With the new SVN, the SRT Subtitles work perfectly. But when there are Subtitles added to a .MKV file, no subtitles are displayed. Also, when you play a .MKV file with included subtitles, and there is a .SRT file, the both doesn't work.

    Can someone fix this?

    Thanks..

Do you see Vobsub icon in the system tray while playing mkv movie? If not, go to Haali media splitter properties -> Compatibility -> Autoload VSFilter, set to Yes.

Submitted a new patch to use DirectVobSub in MP subtitles configuration. See attached image, the configure button will open DirectVobSub configuration.
