I have a weird issue that just started popping up. First let me say I've changed absolutely nothing about my setup in a couple months at least, but just in the last few days when hitting certain buttons on my remote weird things happen in MediaPortal. For instance, if I try to pause a movie, sometimes it doesn't pause but it flickers the info screen for just a split second and keeps playing. Usually if I press pause again it will pause. If it pauses, whether it is the first time or the second time, it will always skip forward around 10-20 seconds while it does it. Furthermore in a lot of situations if I try to fastforward/rewind, sometimes it thinks I hit the button more than once when I didn't (ie: it will jump straight to 8x the first time I hit ff).... I've tried multiple remotes, a harmony and a real MCE to see if it was the remote and it wasn't. I've rebooted my PC of course thinking it was just a glitch, but that didn't help either.

Anyone know what might cause this? It's really annoying because if pausing skips ahead 20 seconds and I miss something important, it takes an act of God to move back 20 seconds due to rewind sometimes jumping straight to 8x which might skip back 2 minutes, then getting back forward is another nightmare and a half! :)

Also one thing I forgot, the info button thinks it gets pressed multiple times as well in MediaPortal (from either remote), so if I'm watching a movie and want to change subtitles or not, I'll hit the info button and the info screen will pop up and then disappear....sometimes I have to try hitting the info button 3-4 times before it finally stays on the screen!

Solved my own problem - ended up having nothing to do with the remote or MediaPortal. On a hunch I unplugged my USB IR Receiver, then plugged it back in, and the problem went away completely. This is weird because I had rebooted the PC many times but now that I think about it, I had never powered it off. So I'm guessing the receiver got into a weird state and cutting power from it is what caused it to reset.
