Hi,
I've switched from MythTV to Mediaportal for the obvious reasons that MythTV is standing still while Media portal goes forward. Also the eyecandy is better. An since I'm a windows developer I'm more drawn to do something with Mediaportal then with MythTV.
That said, I have the following problem(s)
1. if I watch a recording, sometimes the recording jumps back a few secods. No one is pressing te remote or keyboard. It happens at least once watching a recording, or watching paused livetv. I don't know why.
2. I use (for now till all the codecs are up
) vlc player to watch divx stuff. This is probably not the right place to post it but: sometimes the video (a divx or xvid) pauses for a brief moment. Like 0.1 second. The sound goes along... but it is VERY anoying. The pc is fast enough to play it for sure. I play over a network but NEVER had this problem using mplayer. I've installed the divx codecs and will try with the internal player of mediaportal to see what happens. Yet should anyone has any idea, that would be greatly appriciated.
