Hi All,

I have just made the plunge to MP and hopefully have left MCE behind for good.

I am trying to get 4 x TV Tuners functioning and have hit a wall.

My old Avermedia M150 PCI cards x2 are installed and working fine. I also have an Avermedia Hybrid Duo PCI-Express card which worked in MCE to prodive 2 x additional analogue tuners.

MP can see all 4 tuners, but will not scan channels on the PCI-E card.

So from this and the ease of how the old pci cards installed, am I to assume that PCI-E cards are not yet supports?

I am using MP TV Server edition and MP Client on the same PC.

:D

MP and TV3E supports PCI-E cards. I use a Terratec 2400i which is PCI-E based.

This may be specific to your card.

    Petsa,

    Thanks for confirming this.

I have been trying to do some more research and may have found the issue.

The Avermedia Hybrid Duo is only software encoded not hardware. Could this be my problem. Make sense to me because MP can see btoh Digital and Analogue sides of the card, it just doesn't scan for channels.

I have a similar thing with a DNTV dual card. PCI express, 2 DTv and 2 analog.
Both the DTV tuners work like a dream, but the Analog doesn't find anything when scanning.
I have to admit that I don't care much for Analog, so haven't really spent any time researching it.

I think there are ways to get this to work, but can't talk from experience.

    Cheers,
    Marcus.
