People Who Don't Get No Audio/ Video errors (1 Viewer)

I want to know what TV cards are trouble free!! I have had a C-1500 and it has never worked properly with media portal. I want to know if there are any people out there who could recommend a card that will work 95% of the time with media portal.

I was thinking of getting a floppyDTV?

If there is anyone out there with a card and they don't get no audio/ video error all the time please list you card.

I myself have FloppyDTV DVB-C and Twinhan DVB-C, both are working without any issues. But before you buy a new HW I would suggest that you would wait at least few weeks. There is currently ongoing some stream decoding changes in TsWriter.ax and it's possible that those are solving some of the "no video/audio detected" issues users have been seeing.

I won't promise anything, but I think waiting few weeks isn't that long time if you can save few bucks.

I use a TT Budget C-1500 and it works with very little issues (I sometimes get blockings/stutters in stream, which is an aknowledged MP bug atm). (and a similar software setup as you do bigflause, I've seen you around )

It's not certain it's the card per se that is causing the issues for you, it might be related to your DVB-provider or a combination of the two.

According to the windows device manager I'm using version 4.4.10.17, BDA drivers.
I'm using the same kind of software setup as you do. I don't know what client+server you use however, but I don't want to talk about it openly here, out of respect for the mediaportal team.

I've got a Technotrend DVBS 1500 with CI and it works pretty well apart from:

-I have to run it in psudo DVB-T mode (as I wrote about here) due to the fact that I've never got diseqc working in TVServer

-After restart of TVServer I have to try ~3 times before it can descramble encrypted channels after that it works fine from then on.

-Lately I've had issues recording. (Recordings don't play) Live TV always works.

I use a floppy DTV-S2.
It works........But that depends on the CAM use together with it! a Magic module doesn't and a Aston 1.05 does work . Both CAM's work perfect in my (Topfield) settop box.
