Performanc problems on vista (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I recently installed Vista home priemum and i now have serious performance problems, the must and video stutter during play and the hard disk is constantly running (this stops when I exit MP)

I am using FFDshow codec, and ideas why I have such poor playback performance?

Tell us the m\c specs, as vista very resource hungry, mine uses 800mb of memory just running itself.

Are you using an interlaced output? 1080i or 480i have problems on vista when using Aero. There's a hotfix for that available here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932649
