Perhaps instead of using googles soap api, could I suggest using microsofts live soap api?

I know people don't like microsoft but you can get 10,000 hits a day per IP using it.

Hey, and thanks for the hit. I hadn't heard about Microsofts live webservice release, but it seems quite interesting.

It seems like a better choice compared to google with the higher daily query limit and google not giving away more license keys. However, my next approach will be to fetch lyrics directly from a couple of sites without any prior search engine access. But the live webservice may come in handy if that turns out not to be enough.
