I have a problem with my TV Card, which seems to be no longer supported from MediaPortal.
First time I tried MediaPortal I was using version 0.1.1.1 (maybe last year, I don't remember exactly) and my tv card was natively supported and worked very well, system was stable and everything ok.

Now with 0.2.2.0 the card is not anymore detected and I cannot configure it. I wonder if there's a configuration file (or maybe some voices of a configuration file) I can import from 0.1.1.1 or I don't know... any suggestions?

Here are 2 screens that I get with the 2 different versions of Media Portal

This is what I get if I install 0.1.1.1 version

This is what I get with 0.2.2.0

screen2.jpg

0.2.2.0 says "No video capture card(s) where found, you won't be able to configure a capture card" and when I go ahead there's no card in the pulldown menu.

Obviously tv card drivers are the same.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

Bye

Ok, I've made some tests and that's what I can get with graphed..

I installed Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder but I don't find any filter related. The only one that I find cannot be connected with the card..

Any suggestions?

:D just making this my own thread...

anyway, here's my progress, I hope someone can help now..

Log and Picture are posted...

I can connect filters in graphed but some connections that in graphed work will give error in MediaPortal configuration...
pins are corrected (here is my definition for this card) according to graphed

You're not alone... I have the same problem with a MSI TV @nywhere plus card. The tuner is also a Philips Cap713x and is not listed in MP configuration... I noticed you can get the connections done with that graph thing. I could try that too, but I don't know what to do next. What do you do after you create those connections?

The card is listed in the capturecarddefinitions.xml...

Slight update:

It seems that the info for my MSI card in the carddefinitions file is wrong. I changed its name there to match the control panel (it says MSI 8624 Video Capture there), changed the devid to match and it was detected! Oh, and I had to change the cap7134 to cap713x on those "filter" things... Now it's detected, but it says it's unable to create graph for my card... Well, at least something changed!

Any ideas concerning a next move? Can anyone explain to me how those pins things work?

Well,

I modified the pins as you can see in my previous post. Connections should be as in the graph, but unfortunately when I start MP or when I go into the configuration it says "Unable to create graph...".

maybe I should use another mpeg decoder, I don't know..

Anyway, there's something strange with this unlucky, completely unsupported thread in this "support" forum.... .
There are 3 people asking help, providing configurations, attachments, pictures etc, and no replies..

:D

Another silly piece of info... My Video Capture square on Graphedit behaves strangely. When it appears, it has 2 input pins. I connet the video to pin 0. When I go to connect the audio to pin 1, it connects, but it adds another pin above pin 0... Does this change the numbering or something? could this be affecting things?
