[QUOTE="Chris84, post: 69049, member: 16828"] Hi i'm using Mediaportal experimental since about 9 month. No it's coming to reach usable state, saying i'll give it to my parents for recording and watching digital satellite TV. Since my first tests a lot has changed and the most problems are fixed. But now there are still some issues i have to fix, before trying to explain all this to my parents. Actually Mediaportal sporatic freezes. I encountered this problems some times by now. I't allways happens, when interacting with the system by remote control. One time it happend while i was reading the programtable while watching a movie in background. The second time i tried to jump over the introduction of a DVD movie. In now it froze while configuring compressionsettings and watching a recording in this little window. All the times only the screen froze. I was still able to navigate through the menus (in case of knowing, which button to press, without seeing anything) and the sound was also ok. One time i was able to close Mediaportal regular and then restart it. The other times i had to close it by taskmanager and was not able to reload it, cause some directX engine was still in use. (Had to restart windows) I've no idea what may be the problem. My Settings: CPU: Athlon 64 3000+ Mainboard Epox EP-8HMMI-A Ram: 1GB HDD: 160 GB Sound: Ultron 7.1 Gfx: Geforce Fx 5200 Tuner: 2* Hauppauge Nova-S Plus OS: Windows MCE Due to the fact my problem appeared while watching TV, DVD or a record i think only the Gfx-Card or some softwareproblems can cause this.
