Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site.
Thanks, N.
Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much appreciated. I can get it to work only once in while, and most often, when I do get a second window, it's only of the station already playing. In other words, it will not tune a second channel. But once in a while it does work, and I can't tell at all what is making the difference. I am running Windows 11 Pro, 64 bit, and MP 2.5. Thanks, N.
Solved: I have a quad (Hauppauge) tuner card. I didn't realize I need to perform a channel scan for each of the four tuners. It's not what I remember from my previous installations of MP1 and MP2 on Windows 10. I thought one scan was good for all four tuners. Perhaps I misremember, or perhaps something has changed. At any rate, I performed a scan for each tuner, and now I have trouble-free PiP mode (and am also able to record one channel while watching another; the failure to do that was my tip-off as to what was wrong).
Thanks, N.
