Pinnacle PCTV nano stick (4 Viewers)

Hello all. I installed mediaportal 1 rc 1. I also have a Pinnacle PCTV nano stick.

When I configure it in TV-Server Configuration everything looks good. The app finds the same channels as the program that comes with the tuner. This means that the hardware part is ok right?

But when I fire up Mediaportal, it gives me a black screen and no audio.
No error message either.

Can someone give me a clue as to what I'm doing wrong?

Usually codec related, what choices under mediaportal config\Television\codecs have you, try other codecs PowerDVD is good if you have it.

If it lets you chose pinnacle codecs they should work as well.

I just discovered that the preview function where I edit the channel-list doesn't work in the TV-Server Configuration either. Is it still a codec thing? I've tried them all.

Add your system specs & attach logs collected with MP TestTool to your post from a preview try, it's the only solution for us to help you.

Hi,
Ok not much shown in those logs(due to a bug in logging & log collector) so you need to update to latest SVN (download it extract & install MediaPortal_weekly-snapshot.exe first(do not open configuration yet) & then TV-Server_weekly-snapshot.exe & then configure it & test a channel again & attach logs)
Reason for this it's some logging methods have changed & a new scan needed(sorry for that).

Your logs look good except for the quality(you could try to move antenna a bit & check:

***** SIGNAL LEVEL: 100, SIGNAL QUALITY: 10 *****

Does it work with the program that followed the card?

Yes. TV centerpro from Pinnacle finds all channels and the quality is around 70%.

I'll look into the antenna placement.

Hi,
In MediaPortal Configuration -> General -> set "Log Level" to "debug" & Start MediaPortal -> MyTV & try to watch NRK, if you get black screen then collect logs with MP TestTool & attach.
Btw, which codecs do you use for TV?
