[confirm] Play Disc button does not work (1 Viewer)

easy for me to produce. I do not have autoplay on for cd or dvd. I do not have it set to ask me what i want to do, either. it is set to don't play, never ask. I then use the "play disc" button on the main menu. No video plays.

Win 7 home premium. Mediaportal RC4. 2 gig of ram. dg45id MB. using onboard video and audio.

May sound strange but, I recall a forum thread concluding you need the video plugin enabled to play a DVD.

Cool, that got it. But I don't want to have "videos" in the list of the menu. how do I keep the "play disc" ability with DVD's but not have to enable "videos" plugin. I use moving pictures...

Leave it enabled but uncheck list at home option of plugin

I can't un-check it. I can select it to be in home or in Plug-ins.

I dno't want it in either location. I don't want it showing up at all.

I should be able to play a DVD without having to have "videos" enabled.

What skin do you use mlburgoon? (no system specs so I can't tell!) The only option I can think of is to use BasicHome. You can use a skin that lets you display only the features/plugins you wish, which many skins do now.

Skin is irrelevant. I can reproduce on B3W. but I am using Black Glass Nova. The result is the same with either skin. I read and followed the "testing and reporting" procedures before I submitted my issue. (wow, I actually read AND followed direcetions this time!!!!! LOL)

what system specs would you like to see. I put in the "major" stuff in the first post... I will provide any and all info requested....

Also, I don't like basic home and should not have to use it.

This is something new. I never used to have to have videos enabled to be able to use play disc button.

This is still an issue in RC6. to use the Play Disc button, I have to have Videos enabled. this should not be the case. What information do I need to provide to get this fixed? I have provided log files above. With Videos disabled, play disc button does not work, but .iso mounts from Moving Pictures do work.

People have given suggestions for work arounds, but no real fix to the issue has been provided.

I will provide what ever is wanted\needed to get this problem fixed.
