Play DVD doesn't do anything (1 Viewer)

Whenever I insert a DVD into the DVD drive and click 'Play DVD' in MediaPortal, the screen just refreshes the home screen. I can never get 'Play DVD' to play a dvd. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Could it have to do with not knowing which drive to read for the dvd (there are a couple including some virtual drives)? If so, where can I adjust the drive to use for that feature? I did not see any option for this.

Note: The drive I am trying to use is a real drive - it is not a virtual drive. It's also the only real drive, and is a blu-ray / hd dvd combo drive.

I apologize for not including required information. I've attached logs and added system specs.

It is reproduceable every time for me. I simply open MediaPortal, click Play DVD, and it just refreshes the home screen. I do not know what is causing it. I can play through MediaPortal if I go to 'My Videos' and select the correct drive. The drive I wish Play DVD to use is drive 'F'.

Nero is installed, but I did not install the extra tools such as drive speed.

I may be way off track here, but do you have the "Play DVD Shortcut" plugin activated in the MP plugins section (should be in the first group of plugins). I always need to activate this in order to start a DVD using my remote.

Rich - thanks! That was exactly the problem and quick fix. It works fine now. I wonder why it wasn't activated - I never disabled it, and it seems like something that should be enabled by default since the menu item is there and everything.
