Can anyone advise me how to correct a problem I have on my server of MP clips playing back in the wrong aspect ratio?
I have two PCs: HTPC and SERVER. The clips are recorded through MP in widescreen and onto a HDD. I can then access them via the network and sometimes playback on the SERVER, also in widescreen (16:9 monitor).
All was well until a couple of days ago when I installed MP on the server with a view to playing with this copy for skinning and other purposes. So far I only changed the skin to Nonafu. I am wondering if something in one of the codecs has changed. The HTPC is unaffected and displays the same files in the correct AR.
I am now no longer able to view recorded tv in widescreen and displays as 4:3 (768x576 I'm guessing). This is the case in MP, WinDVD & WMP10. This only seems to affect clips originating from MP. I am still able to view DivX (downloaded files) etc on both machines in 16:9.
Any suggestions??? Codec problem - if so how can it be corrected?
