I gather from your earlier description, that this "pausing" of the video and audio ONLY occurs with recorded programs and NEVER on live TV - correct?Have you played the same recorded file through Windows Media Player 10 - does it exhibit the same behaviour?If it does, then it suggests that something is causing the recorded file to be corrupted? Are you using SATA disks - I have read of some users having issues like this with some SATA controllers.....What else have you tried in order to solve this problem?
