Message: <blockquote data-quote="poppabk" data-source="post: 692546" data-attributes="member: 54649"><p>Its not just playing the files but also sending the correct information to the TV over HDMI 1.4.  Half resolution side by side or top and bottom is the best compromise at the moment, as it bypasses any issues and works the same as normal video.  Of course the 1920x540 or 960x1080 final resolution is not that great.  Checkerboard gives a final resolution of 1358x764, but it is not as well supported.  Beyond that we are at the mercy of Nvidia and ATI for updates that allow HDMI 1.4 signals to be sent to the TV.  Nvidia are still dragging their feet for non nvidia 3d vision users, not sure about ATI.</p></blockquote><p></p>
