Playing converted vob files in Media portal (1 Viewer)

Hello

I have a little problem. I followed the Index of /~mitreski. Everything works fine, I can play mkv files but I can't play .vob files wich I have converted from mkv with the mkv2vob program.(You can google it if you don't recognize it). I have a PS3 and I use TwonkyMedia so I have to use the .vob files, PS3 can't play mkv files.
I can play the vob files in media player classic but not in windows media player 11 and not in media portal 1.0
P.s. these vob files are all high defination, 720p-1080p

Does anyone have a solution for me please?

I recall an old hack to rename .vob to .mpg and then it plays. Don't know why and I don't know if it is still the case. Maybe you can test by renaming one of them and test in MP as well as in PS3.

Certainly, MP will play a normal dvd structure folder with video_ts and ifo & vob files.
