Playing DVR-MS files (1 Viewer)

I am trying to play DVR-MS files recorded using Vista MCE in MP. I mapped to the Vista MCE folder, and also configured the directory under "My Videos". When loading a file - MP goes black - and then after a couple of seconds returns back to the MP portal, without playing the file.
Checking to see if I have Codec issues - I can play the DVR-MS files when using Windows Media Player.

How can I get MP to play DVR-MS files over the LAN being created by a MCE Vista?

I have a fix for it, but is not completly test it, it works for me but maybe not for others

I have exact same issue, but I am running V0.2.3.0 and my dvr-ms files are generated by a MCE 2005 RU2 machine.

If it matters, I first installed RC1 (I used client option I think, not sure I used standalone install, though?) but when I couldn't get dvr-ms files to play (same issue) I uninstalled, rolled back to previous restore point, and installed V0.2.3.0. All MediaPlayer install was done on a clean, new build of XP Pro after all updates and patches were applied and nVidia decoders were loaded.

Will this patch solve my issue or should I look elsewhere?

The patch will fix the MS-DVR issue, and works with MP 1.0 RC1
