playing ripped DVD's (1 Viewer)

Ive ripped several dvds to my HDD (and left them as .VOB files) and want to run them through media portal as a mass storage medium for my DVD collection.

is there a way that media portal will launch straight into a film when i click on its folder, rather than opening the folder and then having to click on the .VOB file i want?

Do a search for the My DVDs plugin - it allows importing from DVD cataloging software and gives you a "play" option where you can specify the root of your DVD folder and clicking on any individual movie below that root will begin immediately. Works great.

If you leave the files in the same folder and file structure as on the DVD

DVD Name
 |- AUDIO_TS
 |- VIDEO_TS
    |- VIDEO_TS.IFO
    |- VIDEO_TS.BUP
    | - etc....

The folder can then be added to the Movies folder in MP Setup.

or you can use the Ant Movie database.
