Hi,

About five years ago I bought a four port ps2 to usb adapter from ebay. It works well with wired controllers but without vibration. I recently bought two logitech cordless action controllers so that I would have a total of four controllers for project64 and MAME. They are amazing controllers and work perfectly with my playstation, but for some reason have issues with my pc. They have a really hard time connecting, and when they finally do they either randomly disconnect while I'm in the middle of a game, or when I'm done do not go to sleep and eat up the batteries. Has anyone else had problems like this or know of a good adapter to buy? Thanks.

    Hello eliej,

there are certain difficulties in using a wireless PS2-gamepad with your PC's for which I have no time to explain right now. Bottomline is that only certain adapters work with wireless PS2-gamepads. Problem though: There is no way to tell which ones do, because many manufacturers say their adapters "work with latest hardware" but in fact they don't.

I am attaching a picture of my adapter which works 100%. I bought it on ebay (too long ago to provide a direct link) so maybe you will find it there.

    hi level20peon.

Thank you for your help. I was not able to find the one you have, but there is one called super joybox which looks similar and might be the newer version. It is only $10 so I'm going to give it a try and let you know how it works.

Also, I am a computer engineer, so if you ever have time to explain the difficulties of a wireless controller I would be very interested.
