So
.....after refreshing Win8 and a full reinstall (successful) of MP.....attempting to open TV server config.takes me to 'setup database connection' window. Hostname in RED....Dependency in GREEN.

....so I need to get through this....any thoughts please!?

UPDATE....Total rebuild of my PC...and install of 1.7.1 (latest) in Win 8.1.

Initially setup/worked fine (yesterday)...but TODAY...a return to the problem referred to in my previous post

Are you running security software that might be preventing TV Server configuration from accessing the network (which it needs to do to talk to the TV service and MySQL/SQL Server)?

Comodo Antivirus...and Windows Firewall.
Haven't been advised (yet) to alow access/make an exception.

Have tried disabling each of these to no effect!!

Okay, well I'm not sure exactly what is going on.

It looks like the TV service is running fine, so it makes no sense to me that TV Server configuration would not be able to fire up.

The log says:

Are you running TV Server configuration with admin privileges (you probably should be)?

Doesn't look so:

so either no admin privileges, or some different policies preventing writing to the registry.
