Please I need help setting up the TV Tuner in Media Portal (1 Viewer)

I love media portal so far and am almost ready to go "Live" with it on my HTPC system in my house. The ONLY thing i'm running into problems with is my TV Tuner.

I can see the card in MP, and even scan channels. It detects the channels just fine, but I can't watch them! I just get a black screen in MP config. Inside actual MP it says "No Tuner Signal detected".

If I use the TV server option, I can scan channels but I can't get guides working! I tried Schedule Direct plugin with no success. It just says "No signal detected, are you sure you ran auto tune in MP config".

Also My SQL 5 or Microsoft SQL server Express will not install. It always gets errors and screws it up.

Could somebody please tell me the exact way to go about setting up a TV tuner card? Step by Step so I don't mess it up. Thanks!

If that is happening, then your operating system is screwed, or missing some very important windows updates, either would prompt me not to install MP on this pc untill these were fixed.
