I've been trying everything with media portal. But it keeps crashing, every version ive tried. Media-portal 1
Media-portal 0.2 stable release. Different svn's, Different Tv-servers. Tve2, Tve3. I format my whole computer before I install another version.

But i keep getting the same problem. When i go into mytv the picture in the small box is flashing. When I go into fullscreen it plays ok. But when I try to go back into the tv-guide media portal either hangs on crashes. This is with every release.

Is there any stable version of mediaportal or is there something I can do about this.

Your specs are mostly incomplete - please provide all the requested information. Also, you need to attach the MediaPortal log files if you want someone to diagnose your issue ... please read this for more information.

I don't believe that for a second. The i can view TV no problem with any other application. And the graphics card should be fine, it hd compatible. I can watch 720p/1080i movies without a problem.


Just read on the net. It uses the same core as the radion x300. Which is supported by mediaportal.

What if I was to use the x300 drivers???

i'm having the exact same issue. with ati x1250. xp sp2.
it's something to do with codecs. if i change to mpv codec it all works ok but the quality for football isn't reat on mpv. on ati fullscreen the quality is miles better.
cyberlink codec give the same problem....as does ffdshow...

this only occurs on mpeg2 media.

Try using the ati avivo codec.

try turning off hardware acceleration. Set your mpeg codecs to not use hardware acceleration.

Also make sure you have more than 64MB of memeory on your video card (if it is an integrated graphics card set video memory to 128MB or more).
